Happy Easter

I know I've been AWOL from this blog for awhile (again!), but breaking my blog drought to wish you all a Happy Easter (for those of you who celebrate it). I hope you all have a nice Easter break with your families.

Today I'm having the traditional Greek lamb spit roast with lashings of tzatziki (yoghurt garlic sauce). And, of course, there'll be the obligatory tsoureki (Greek Easter bread) as well as the koulourakia (Greek Easter biscuits) and the dyed red eggs.

Dessert will be galaktoboureko (a custard dessert with syrup and phyllo pastry). Yum :) But won't do much for my ever-expanding waistline.

Hope the Easter bunny's kind to you all - have a great day.

Sounds extremely yummy, Angie! I've had too much dark chocolate and now feel sick. ;-)

It was yummy, Jackie :) I'm still recovering, in fact. Chocolate is also delicious, but I agree with the too sick feeling :(

Hi,

Happy Post Easter

What is it with Xmas & Easter? Binge! Binge! Binge!

Oh god, chocolate!!!!!!!! I really don't care if I see no choccy for six months, and believe this, I eat it in moderation at all times. But, my hubby eats it like there's no tomorrow and never puts on one ounce of fat. That's the sickening factor! Plus we had a houseful of family so food in general resembled a banquet at every meal.

The odd slice of toast for a few days methinks will suffice.

Hi Francine,

Hope you had a great Easter! LOL - it's true Xmas and Easter are an opportunity to feast. But we pay for it afterwards...

So jealous of your hubby! I only need to look at chocolate to put on fat :)
